Almond Marsh

I love Almond Marsh! It is the Great Blue Heron rookery. Every year the Herons come and nest there. The sight on a misty morning in the summer is beautiful and a little haunting. The herons nest in the bare trees in the marsh (I've pulled a picture off the internet so you can see it here). 

Because of the marsh you can see a lot of waterfowl. 

I'll be visiting this weekend. Saturday morning they have a bird walk! With some good weather heading our way, it should be good!
