Yesterday was a beautiful morning! So I headed over the Almond Marsh. They had volunteers out with coffee and donuts and binoculars to see the nesting herons. With the first sunny day for a while and not a lot of wind, people really turned out for the bird watching. The herons were all there too and really neat to watch.
| This shows the tripod platforms they've put up to accommodate more herons. They're really working well! |
There weren't many ducks and geese this time, but there was a beautiful swan. It flew in just before I got there, so I missed the fly in, but it was beautiful see it out on the water.
Almond Marsh doesn't have trails, but it does have a wonderful view!
