The first walk of the new year - Rollins Savanna. It was a tough choice to make, it's cold today and I really didn't want to get out there. But, I looked at the weather forecast for next week. A whopping 7° for next weekend. OK 19° today wasn't too bad. So, today it is! I had decided to watch the Bear's game so that only left us one hour until the park closed at sun set. We both got our boots, coat, hats, gloves. . . . and headed out. I felt a little like Ralphie in the Christmas Story, but I was warm for the walk.
It was 19° for the walk and the sun was setting. But we got the walk in. Rollins Savanna is a wide open preserve with good trails. But don't believe the signs, the trains seem longer than that. Since the sun was going down and the place closed at sunset, I opted for the foot bridge trail.
Diving in! Good thing there's no water! |

It was pretty and the last trail had some trees around it. We saw a few small birds, but that was the only "wildlife" we saw.
So, there you have it. The first one done. More to come.
I love that place! I'm glad you guys got out for a walk :D I can't wait to read of more! Do you have any ideas for your next one?
