This weekend I missed the walk on Saturday, but I did get my Horizons newsletter for Lake County Forest Preserves. A lot going on this winter. I'm hoping to get out for some of the volunteer work days.

I did manage to venture out on Sunday. It was cool and sunny went I went out just before sunset. Since it was later in the day the neighborhood was quiet. Near the end of the walk is a bridge that crosses over a small creek. It's always quiet back there behind all the houses and the trees line the creek. Squirrels skitter and run through the leaves and up the trees. It my favorite part of the walk.
